At a very young age, by 20, I was a certified makeup artist and a licensed cosmetologist. Eager to embrace the rich diversity of beauty, I immersed myself in various ethnic salons, mastering techniques such as silk presses, braiding, extensions, relaxers, manicures, pedicures, and facials. Yet, my true passion always lay in hair and makeup artistry.

At 20, I found a home in a Uruguayan salon, where I worked for six years. Then, at 26—just two weeks pregnant—I took a leap of faith and bought my own salon. It was exhilarating and terrifying all at once, but it was mine. I poured my heart into that space until, with my third child due in just two weeks, I made the difficult decision to sell it.

I thought I'd take a step back, but my clients wouldn't hear of it. They refused to go to anyone else. So, in November 2014, just months after my daughter was born, I opened a studio in my home. Since then, I've been blessed to do what I love every day—hair, makeup, and now, building my own brand with Samantha's Hair Growth Oil.
